Said Halim Pasha Palace Story

In 1895 Prince Said Halim, nicknamed the philosopher, the grandson of Muhammad Ali Pasha entrusted to the famous Italian architect, Antonio Laciak to build and design a unique palace for his wife Princess Ingé Toson. The palace was built according to the Baroque style that was known in Europe during the Renaissance. Prince Said Halim gave the palace as a gift to his wife. But the rebellious Toson refused to live in it and thus breaking the heart of her husband. 

he was disappointed, and legends say that a curse was put on the palace. the palace was deserted and the beautiful building turned into ruin. It is rumored that the palace is haunted by ghosts and is full of wandering spirits that can be heard in the darkness. Lot of people confirm that they see a ghost wandering inside the palace could that be the spirit of the rebellious princess?

قصة قصر سعيد حليم باشا 

أنشأه الأمير سعيد حليم، المُلقّب بالفيلسوف، حفيد محمد علي باشا عام ١٨٩٥ لزوجته الأميرة إنجي طوسون، وقد أسند إلي المعماري الإيطالي الشهير "أنطونيو لاشياك" مهمة تصميم القصر، فصمم قصرا فريدا من نوعه، علي طراز الباروك الذي انتشر في أوروبا خلال عصر النهضة.

وقدم الأمير هديته لزوجته، لكن الزوجة المتمردة رفضت الإقامة به، وفطرت قلب الزوج العاشق، فأصيب بخيبة أمل، 
وحلت اللعنة علي القصر، وكأنما كتب عليه أن يصير مهجورا متواريا خلف التراب، فتحول البناء الفردوسي إلى خراب.

وحيث أن للقصر الحزين سراديب تحت الأرض، يصل بعضها إلى ميدان التحرير، أُشيع أنه بيت للأشباح، مليء بأرواح يُسمع أصوات نحيبها عند حلول الظلام. و يؤكد الساكنين حوله رؤيتهم طيف يتجول بداخله، فهل تكون تلك هي روح الأميرة المتمردة؟!
